Europass system documents

The current global trends in the education market, as well as the modern requirements of employers to the qualification, skills and the creative potential of employees, assume the need for the high level of academic and professional mobility of specialists wishing to build successful professional career. It is obvious that graduates of the majority of universities can get a real opportunity to build their lives and careers mainly in successful and prestigious corporations located in the most developed countries of the world. In order to gain new or more profound knowledge at foreign universities and also to realize own professional potential, many young specialists face the need to relocate and adapt to the new countries. In these conditions the question of recognition of educational qualifications previously obtained in the home country becomes relevant.

Inside the European Union the special territorial regime of standardisation of educational processes and mutual recognition of foreign education statuses and documents by the European countries is functioning on the basis of the Bologna Process. This regime is called the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). Within the EHEA, in accordance with the special procedure, the educational institutions grant to their graduates special documents of the Europass system: Diploma Supplement, Europass Mobility, Language Passport, Curriculum Vitae, and Certificate Supplement. Form and contents of these documents are approved by the UNESCO, the Council of Europe and the European Commission. It’s worth saying that experience of implementation of the EHEA and the Europass projects was very successful and promising. Therefore the Europass documents are now recognised and practically used far outside Europe.

Thus, the Europass system documents are an effective instrument in ensuring the academic and professional mobility (and also in recognising the educational qualifications) almost everywhere on the planet. At the same time the Europass system documents can be easily received by graduates of educational institutions located only within the EU borders.

In the framework of implementation of our educational projects in the IASHE we are ready to provide assistance in issuing the Europass system documents to individuals not able to obtain these documents themselves due to various reasons (but understanding the importance of international mobility).
